Teenagers have no sense of reality, and this shows in their two favorite writers, Ayn Rand and J. R. R. Tolkien. One creates a completely unrealistic fantasy world populated by monstrous villains and larger than life heroes with no plausible resemblance to reality, and the other writes about hobbits.
